ABOUT The Summer Learning Collaborative

Every summer, the average low-income student loses around three months of learning, as measured by test scores. This has an immense impact on low-income youth and the achievement gap between affluent and disadvantaged students. SummerCollab brings together hundreds of teachers, aspiring school leaders and college students — as well as cultural assets, one unified strategy and an AmeriCorps program — to serve nearly 3,000 low-income youth over the summer months.
