    Lena Bryant opens her first Lane Bryant shop at 120th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York City.

  • 1911

    Lena’s shop grosses $50,000, with the help of the New York Herald, which printed a small ad for her maternity wear

  • 1923

    Lane Bryant sales reach $5 million, and its plus-size clothing outsells maternity wear for the first time

  • 1969

    The Lane Bryant chain grows to include more than 100 stores with combined sales of $200 million

    Lane Bryant joins The Limited, Inc. with 208 stores
